NILE CRUISE ON MS NILE PRINCESS:
On one of my trips to Egypt, I cruised with a dozen other lucky guests on the five-star luxury MS Nile Goddess for five days up the Nile River from Luxor to Aswan with stops at Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae Island, and Aswan/Elephantine. As we cruised slowly upriver, we enjoyed magical temples, sun-drenched scenery, great food, and nightly entertainment from the crew performing ancient Egyptian songs and love poems.
At Elephantine Island, I experienced a lucid dream of a past life where I was part of a royal procession that docked on Elephantine Island many thousands of years ago. Then, I actually discovered what was left of the same landing today.
MY JOURNEY TO BAHARIYA OASIS:
On one of my earliest trips to Egypt, I traveled with a small group of tourists by bus out into the desert 370 km west of Cairo to the Bahariya Oasis to see the famous Valley of the Golden Mummies.
MEETING MY DECEASED FATHER AT MONROE:
I’m at the Monroe Institute in Faber, Virginia. I’m listening to another audio exercise. Nothing is happening. Suddenly, I’m OBE (out-of-body-experience) and in a green parkland where many pathways converge on a central band shell. Someone is sitting alone in the band shell. I “float” closer and, to my surprise, recognize who is sitting there.
Dead since 1980, my father nods a greeting to me. I float up the steps of the band shell and we communicate telepathically, not by spoken word. In that experience, I came to understand my father on a man-to-man level. I let the pain that I’d carried for a lifetime go and thanked Spirit for the experience.
MEDITATION IN THE KING’S CHAMBER:
For $20, I bought an hour alone in the King’s Chamber to chant and meditate. I crammed myself into the red granite stone coffer in the center of the chamber and chanted the sacred OOOMMM. To my surprise, there was little, if any, echo. The walls somehow absorbed my chanting.
Years later, I learned that the floor, walls, and ceiling of the King’s Chamber are made of pink granite monoliths with empty space purpose-built between the pink granite monoliths and the limestone rock behind the monoliths. In effect, the King’s Chamber, acts as a sound chamber, not unlike those in today’s sound recording studios.
HEALING PRIESTESSES OF SAKKARA:
I’m overwhelmed by cold and dread after inserting my head into a second niche in a wall full of niches within the Sakkara temple complex. Just seconds before, I’d experienced joy and warmth after placing my head in the first niche within the same wall.
Mohammed, my guide, tells me that this wall was built for healing of the sick through the use of sound. Pilgrims placed their heads within a series of niches cut into this crystal-infused wall of stone. Healer-priestesses standing on nearby platforms could “see” the pilgrim’s “ka” or energy body and create a sort of MRI where the pilgrim’s organs, tissues and energy-flows could be seen in their mind’s eye. In this way, both energetic and physical blockages would become known to the healer-priestess and therapy could begin.
